Mariners took on Cardinals 4a side which they haven’t played before. From the first pitch where Mariners had to bat first they showed their intensions. With some strong hitting Mariners and batting through the line up Mariners managed to put on a mighty six runs.
Bottom of the first inning Mariners used their normal starting pitcher Andrew Pearson who struggled a bit but still battled hard and got the job done not allowing cardinals to score.
Second innings the batters for Mariners didn’t do their job as they normally only scoring one run.
Andrew Pearson came to mound in the second innings to prove why he is our go to pitcher striking out two batters and once again not allowing Cardinals to score.
Third innings Mariners bats fired again with the high light being a smashing hit from Dalton Haines having an infield home run.
With Cardinals struggling Andrew Pearson slowed the pace of his pitching giving the field some work Cardinals managing one run.
Mariners turn to bat not to be out done by Dalton Haines home run Jordan Butfield launched a ball to the fence getting his own in park home run.
Now with the game out of cardinals hands mariners gave part time pitcher Dalton Haines a pitch where he did a fine job getting the first three batters out with the last two in a double play achieved by Dalton off his own pitching.
By this time Cardinal decided they had had enough calling the game early with Mariners taking the win 16/1.
