Mariners 5th Grade went down 15-2 against Warriors at Ison Park South Nowra on Sunday. After an early accident which saw Dan Miranda carried from the field, the team rallied. Warriors put on runs every innings. They became very good at finding the sweet spot over the inield short of the outfield. Matt Moore took a good outfield catch to retire Warriors at the end of a tough innings for Mariners. Too many errors and not enough hits meant Mariners were fighting an uphill battle. A couple of outs crossing the plate at home didn’t help Mariners either. Still, not defeated Mariners will return next week with great spirit for the Father’s Dy round!

Tausia Antonio pitched most of the game. New to seniors, Cameron Goulden took to the mound to close the match.
