With the rain approaching Mariners second grade minors play the Pirates.

The Pirates hit the ground running putting runs on the board from the word go. Mariners struggled with their first 3 batters geting out without score.

Second innings Pirates continued to dominate and with Mariners pitchers struggling there was no stopping Pirates.

Bottom of the second innings Mariners improved with nice hits from David Crowley and Stephen Pearson but unfortunately didn’t eventuate to any runs.

Third innings showed a roll reversal with Mariners holding Pirates scoreless and Mariners puts their first runs on the board.

Fourth and final innings Pirates dominated again plus errors from Mariners allowed Pirates to put on a massive six runs.

Mariners continued to fight putting on 3 runs of there own but time ran out allowing Pirates to take the game 13/5

Hits went to doubles Ray Goulden singles David Crowley 2 Ray Goulden, Stephen Pearson, Tony Burgess and Ben Campbell

Pitchers Ray Goulden 33 pitches 12 strikes and 1 strike out. Ben Quiney 75 pitches 34 strikes and 3 strikeouts. Ben Campbell 18 pitches 9 strikes
