Shoalhaven Mariners took to the Cringila field on Sunday 25th August on a sun filled day against Cardinals.
Mariners started the batting line up with David Crowley getting on base stealing his way around bases before Ben Quiney taking to the box to hit a big one out to centre field bringing David over home plate. Batting continued well with runners reaching base safely from walks and errors in Cardinals field then Kalysta Palmer having a safe hit to centre field and David Crowley having a double to right field. Mariners bringing 7 home safely.
Cardinals into bat next saw a combination of some good hitting and quick running to bring 9 runs across home plate with pitching change shutting down the innings with 2 strike outs.
Second innings Mariners into bat saw Cardinals with good fielding effects keeping Mariners at no score change.
Cardinals into bat seen another 3 runs scored, first out for the innings saw runner on third base not watching to be picked off from Tausia Antonio to David Crowley. Amber Palmer made a great play at first base for the second out of the innings, then Tausia Antonio striking the third one out.
Third and final innings Mariners into bat for the last time of the day saw Chris Keith hit straight out to centre field before an error kept him running around to second base, moving around base but unable to gain the run across home plate. David Crowley also having a single to centre field with no score change.
Cardinals in for the last bat starting the innings off with Mariners making too many errors allowing players on base, allowing safe hits bringing in 8 runs. A great double play from Amber Palmer sitting on first base catching a fly ball then returning it to second base.

Alex Davis started Mariners pitching duties off then Tausia Antonio finished the game throwing 73 pitches 49 strikes with 3 strikeouts.
