Today saw Shoalhaven Mariners Minor 3rd grade take on  Shellharbour Warriors at Fred Finch Park at Berkeley.

David Crowley up to bat first for Mariners making a great hit to get on first base before stealing his way around to third, with Amber Palmer forcing Warriors errors bringing David home for Mariners first run scored of the day.

Warriors into bat next having 3 hits only bringing in 2 runs for the innings with some good fielding efforts from Anthony Burgess at home plate closing off the innings.

Second innings saw Mariners bats quite and unable to gain runs returned with Warriors bashing the ball across the out field bringing in 6 runs.

Third innings Mariners bats lit up bringing 2 runs in and saw family duo Chris Keith and Amber Palmer fielding and getting 2 outs at 1st base.

David Crowley was kept busy in centre field and  managed to get across home plate 3 times today.

Alex Davis had a cracker of a game at short stop being very active to back up second and third base.

Single hits went to Tony Provest, Tausia Antonio, Alex Davis (2) and David Crowley (2).

Pitching duties were shared between Tausia Antonio 42 strikes 67 pitches with 4 strikeouts and Colin Barnes 32 strikes 52 pitches with 5 strikeouts.
