Shoalhaven Mariners 3rd Grade started the day off at Ison Park on Saturday
playing against the Northern Pirates.

The first innings started evenly between the teams with Pirates Cooper
Bennett and Gianni Gazzola having single hits while Mariners Bruce Jones had
a double to centerfield scoring Mariners first run of the day. The second
innings James Lee shut Pirates out with some great pitching , now with a
score line of 3-2 to Mariners. The third innings Mariners stayed strong in
the field only allowing Pirates 1 run in with Mariners having hits from
Bruce Jones, Matt Moore and Tiaan Vanse Van Rensburg bringing the score to
7-3. Mariners kept Pirates scoreless in the 4th and 5th innings while
Mariners advanced their win with single hits to James and Antony Lee and
doubles to Matt Moore and James Lee . Mariners having a strong win of 14-3.

Pitching duties were shared between James Lee who pitched 4 innings with 8
strikeouts 86 pitches with 48strikes and Callum McNicol doing 1 inning with
18 pitches.
